John oversees investment strategy and management for our clients. He began his Wall Street career with Shearson Lehman Hutton in 1989 following in the footsteps of his late father, Pierre (Pete) Diemer, and earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner certification in 1993. John joined Baird in 2011 following a 21 year career with Smith Barney, and qualified for Baird's President's Club in 2021. A native of Cleveland, Ohio, he and his wife Susie are parents of four children, residing in the Shaker Heights home his paternal grandparents built in 1938. John is a member of the First Friday Club of Cleveland (past president), chairperson of the Gesu Parish Investment Committee, and a volunteer at the St. Philomena Food Pantry. He is also a longtime American Red Cross blood donor and die-hard Cleveland baseball fan.
